  • 1 tsp oregano, dried
  • 1 tsp salt, plus extra for cooking rice
  • ¼ tsp ground pepper
  • 1 tsp chicken stock paste
    or 1 chicken stock cube (for 0.5 l)
  • 20 g Turkish red pepper paste, mild (Biber salçası)
    or 20 g tomato purée
  • 250 g rice
  • 20 g cornflour (starch)
  • 1 - 2 tbsp water
