  • 2 oranges, 1 orange zested and 1 orange cut into slices, to garnish
  • 5 cardamom pods, crushed
  • 6 whole cloves
  • 3 cm piece fresh ginger, peeled and cut into thin slices
  • 2 cinnamon quills
  • 200 g raw sugar
  • 1000 g red wine, chilled
  • 100 g dark rum
  • 370 g ginger beer, chilled
