Ingredients

Winter Veg Mash

  • 400 g turnip, peeled and cut into pieces (3 cm)
  • 320 g carrot, cut into pieces (3 cm)
  • 1 tsp Vegetable stock paste, salt-free (see Tip)
  • 50 g water
  • ground nutmeg, to taste
  • ground black pepper, to taste

Pork and Prune Stew

  • 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 12 pickling onions (approx. 360 g)
  • 60 g red wine
  • 2 tbsp wholemeal plain flour
  • 2 carrots, trimmed and sliced
  • 2 tbsp fresh sage leaves, plus extra to serve
  • 2 tsp Vegetable stock paste, salt-free (see Tip)
  • 500 g water
  • 400 g broccoli, cut into florets
  • 500 g pork fillet, cut into cubes (3 cm)
  • ground black pepper, to taste
  • 60 g dried pitted prunes
