Ingredients

  • 1 garlic clove

  • 500 g button mushrooms, cut into quarters (or sixths if large)
  • 50 g unsalted butter
  • 50 g plain flour
  • 100 g pouring (whipping) cream
  • 2 egg yolks
  • ground white pepper, to taste
