  • 4 oz water
  • 16 oz ground beef

  • 4 garlic cloves
  • ½ tsp dried chili flakes
  • ½ oz olive oil
  • 14 oz crushed tomatoes
  • 3 ½ oz water
  • 1 ½ tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp ground black pepper
  • 8 bread rolls (e.g Vienna, baguette, approx. 6-7 in. long)
  • 8 - 10 slices Swiss cheese
  • 1 ½ oz arugula leaves, to serve
  • 2 pickled gherkins, cut into thin slices, to serve
