- 5 oz lean ground beef, crumbled into pieces
- 8 oz crushed tomatoes
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 pinch ground black pepper

- 1 tsp unsalted butter
- 3 ½ oz beef stock
- 3 fresh basil leaves
- 4 ½ oz dried penne pasta
