Get Up to Date on Exercise

According to the latest World Health Organization recommendations, if you are between 18-64 years old you should do at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity aerobic activity or 75 minutes of high-intensity aerobic activity per week to stay healthy. To keep your body lean you should do muscle strengthening at least twice a week. Even starting with 30 minutes of continuous physical activity will help you stay in shape!

Aerobic Exercise and Fat Reduction

Some of the easiest and most accessible forms of aerobic exercise are running and cycling. They are great for burning fat. In addition to reducing body fat and improving metabolism, regular physical activity brings great benefits to the cardiovascular system, significantly reducing the risk of some heart diseases. Activities such as running and cycling promote the production of endorphins, which will help you reduce your stress levels.

Exercise to Improve Performance

Yoga and Pilates can also have an extremely positive effect on the body. These forms of exercise improve performance, strengthen muscles, improve the balance and flexibility of your body, strengthening your spine and reducing joint pain. In addition to the physical aspect of these sports, you should keep in mind that yoga and Pilates are great for mental health.

Always consult your physician or other health care professional before adopting a new nutritional plan, a new fitness plan or if you are coming back from a long period of inactivity.
